Home Hub Interiors – complete your journey with a bespoke interior design package from our resident Designer Sarah Swan.

When we think of our dream house, the dreaming doesn’t stop with bricks and mortar. It’s the interior design; the fittings, the materials and the colours that turn the house into a home. But for many of our competitors and clients, the vision for garden office and leisure spaces stops at the front door.
At HomeHub, we know that what’s on the inside is as important as our smart exteriors. That’s why we have teamed up with interior designer Sarah Swan to offer a bespoke solution that will ensure your hub is fully furnished and designed to your particular needs.
Typical interiors may include traditional oak desks with floating timber shelves, an office ergonomic chair and an art deco style desk lamp. A reclaimed timber and metal coffee table, an oak TV cabinet and a dark timber mid-century style cabinet are just some of the options available to complete your ideal Home Hub. Soft furnishings can also bring a real touch of home to your new space. Your hub can have a linen cotton beanbag and organic fabric cushions using jute, hemp and linen. A monochrome boho shag pile rug can decorate the floor and there can be succulents and olive trees in baskets to add greenery and elegance.
These classic touches are brought together by the vision of Sarah Swan.
Sarah studied at the Dublin Institute of Design and at UCD where she majored in Art History and Italian. She has worked in Paris and London, in fashion houses as well as interior design, honing her skills with Joseph and Louise Kennedy and with interior architect Miguel Cancio Martin. Sarah Swan Studio collaborates with HomeHub to design simple and  comfortable living and office spaces. Her design concept for HomeHub  is based on an ethos of sustainability and a connection to nature, incorporating a new hybrid trend in design called ‘Japandi’.
This concept combines the natural Scandinavian ‘hyggae’ way of life with Japanese  minimalism.which emphasises simplicity of form and function.
The result is simple design with clean lines, drawing contrast from the use of natural materials. “I am aiming for essential purposeful furnishings rather than an accumulation of decorative objects,” explains Sarah. “The plan is for simple design in an uncluttered manner.”

Sarah supports and sources Irish design where possible. She is affiliated to Curator paint and is one the designers who came together to create paint colours inspired by their work. Sarah’s paint colour is called ‘silk squares’ and can be viewed with the rest of the Curator palette at www.curatorpaints.com
Sarah uses Curator paints in the decor of HomeHubs. She hangs her own wall hangings and has collaborated with Tony O’ Connor Equine Art to produce a beautiful limited edition on wool and Irish linen. If you like them, this impressive work can hang in your HomeHub.
